CJ's Olde Towne Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
On a road trip from SC to VA I wanted something other than the regular chain restaurant food. Searched & searched. Found this as I call them...a "hole in the wall". Sooo glad I did. Best late lunch/ early dinner I have had in quite awhile. The cook is very talented because beef liver is a dish that's hard to get just right. But this was DELICIOUS. Sweet potato casserole was just as excellent along with the coleslaw. The only thing I could have had different was the onions. They needed just a bit of caramelization. But with that being said the place was super busy. So I ate them with the perfect liver and was thankful I found such a gem.
While traveling for work, a local coworker recommended CJ’s Olde Towne Restaurant—and I’m so glad they did. From the moment I walked in, this place brought back that warm, nostalgic feeling of a classic hometown diner. The food was exactly what I needed: comforting, flavorful, and prepared with care. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was crisp just the way I like it, and the biscuit? Easily a 10/10—flaky, soft, and absolutely delicious. What truly stood out, aside from the food, was the atmosphere. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly, creating a relaxed and homey vibe that made the entire experience even more enjoyable. I can honestly say I’d drive two hours just to eat here again. CJ’s Olde Towne is a hidden gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone craving a great breakfast and genuine hospitality.
What a great find while in Asheboro. Our server, Rogue, was incredible. She was personable and on top of everything. She made our experience perfect. Can we please talk about how amazing the sweet potato casserole was? I should’ve ordered more for the road trip because it was 10/10! When you think of a restaurant in the heart of the south, this is the place to be!
This was the quintessential American fair. Loved this down home place. So delicious and fairly priced. If you want a daily special with a smile from all the locals, this is the do not miss spot. Meatloaf was Soo good. The desserts are delicious.
Great little country restaurant in the middle of Asheboro. All the southern comfort food you'd expect to see. The staff was all super nice, always were checking to see if I needed anything else. Food was very good. The building isn't much to look at, but hey you get over it.
Wonderful restaurant with a lot to choose from at great prices. All the food we had was delicious and the service was great. The portions are large!
So my step mom was looking up some restaurants to eat at after leaving the zoo (not the point) I had the French toast with strawberries and it was SOOOOO GOOD!!! Our waitress Casie was also one of the biggest sweetheart ever! I now have a new favorite restaurant lol!
Breakfast was delicious and service was outstanding! Our waitress was on top of drink fills and anything else we needed. The price is good too!
